I have had a thousand and one ideas as to how it happened but for the first time ever I can say it wasn't for lack of trying.

If you have been reading my posts you probably already know that my body is changing, clothes are fitting better, and I had a monumental weigh in last week.  I'll be honest, I was expecting the same thing this week, in fact I worked out way more this week than the week before, which is one of my theories as to why the below happened...but no excuses.. just facts... 

What actually happened today, somewhat broke my spirit... momentarily.  Madam Bitch (the scale) slapped  me up across the face and then proceeded to kicked me in the gut. I GAINED 2 LBS this week..WTF is that all about!  I almost walked out of the gym, convinced that it doesn't matter what I do I am destined to be this weight for the rest of my life.
But then I thought about how I committed to myself to give this a proper go for 10 weeks and according to my fingermatics I still have 8 weeks to go (minimum).   So what I did instead is put on my runners and did 20 minutes on the elliptical, and 60 minutes on the treadmill.  According to the machines I burned 643 calories.. I am more determined than ever to burn this ass off me.  I did not do weights today in fear of gaining more weight...I know I will get flack for thinking about the number not the inches etc.. but I really want to lose 20-30 lbs before I stop caring about the number so much.  I was SOAKING with sweat by the end of the work out with bright red cheeks to pick the kids up with...

that's not rain wet hair.. it's sweat.. and nope.. I'm not wearing blush..

After picking the kids up I went to Costco and bought our groceries for the coming weeks and although there was temptation we ended up with a whole lot of fruits, veggies, lean protein and whole wheat items.   I can do this and I have to allow my body to adjust to this..but fuck I wish the scale wasn't so bitchy this morning and had instead told me I lost 5 lbs.. Oh well...

Today I am doing measurements and will post those either later today or tomorrow.


  1. Way to keep going! It is just a test from the universe to make sure you are committed, and you are, so go girl!

  2. Don't be discouraged. Think about those jeans you got to wear again! Way to get back on the treadmill. You can do it! Muscle is good too!
    Keep it up, your helping motivate me to keep going too!
